Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to ProResume Ltd. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website at proresume.co.uk (the "Website") and the services we provide, including but not limited to resume/CV writing, cover letter creation, LinkedIn profile optimization, and career consulting services (collectively, the "Services").

ProResume Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16455316, with its registered office at 129 Wycliffe Road, Northampton, NN15JJ, United Kingdom.

By accessing our Website, using our Services, or making a purchase, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Website or Services.

We recommend that you print a copy of these Terms for future reference.

2. Definitions

In these Terms, the following definitions apply:

  • "Client," "you," or "your" refers to the individual or entity that purchases or uses our Services.
  • "Company," "we," "us," or "our" refers to ProResume Ltd.
  • "Content" means any text, information, images, or other material that you provide to us for the purpose of delivering the Services.
  • "Deliverables" means the documents, materials, or other outputs created by us as part of the Services and delivered to you.
  • "Order" means your request for Services, which becomes binding when accepted by us.
  • "Website" refers to proresume.co.uk or any other online platform through which we offer our Services.

3. Service Description

ProResume Ltd provides professional career document writing services, including but not limited to:

  • Resume/CV writing and editing
  • Cover letter creation
  • LinkedIn profile optimization
  • Personal statement/professional bio writing
  • Career coaching and consulting
  • Interview preparation assistance

Service packages, pricing, and specific deliverables are described on our Website, and the exact scope of Services will be confirmed upon placing an Order.

While we strive to deliver high-quality Services that enhance your professional presentation, we do not guarantee specific outcomes such as job interviews or employment offers, as these depend on various factors beyond our control, including job market conditions, your qualifications, and employer preferences.

4. Order Process and Delivery

4.1 Placing an Order
You can place an Order through our Website, by email, or by phone. All Orders are subject to our acceptance. An Order is only accepted when we confirm acceptance in writing (typically via email) and receive payment according to the terms specified.

4.2 Information Provision
You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information necessary for us to deliver the Services. This may include your employment history, education details, skills, achievements, career goals, and any other relevant information we request. If the information provided is insufficient, we may request additional information, which may delay delivery.

4.3 Delivery Timeframes
We will deliver the Services within the timeframe specified on our Website or as otherwise agreed in writing. Delivery times start from when we have received:

  • Full payment (or the agreed initial payment)
  • All necessary information required to complete the Services
  • Answers to any additional questions we may have

4.4 Delivery Method
Unless otherwise specified, all Deliverables will be provided electronically in the format(s) specified on our Website or agreed upon at the time of Order. This typically includes formats such as Microsoft Word (.docx), PDF, and plain text for various application systems.

4.5 Receipt of Deliverables
You are deemed to have received the Deliverables when we send them to the email address you provided during the Order process, regardless of when you actually access them.

5. Revision Policy

5.1 Revision Entitlement
Each Service package includes a specific number of revision rounds as detailed on our Website or in your Order confirmation. A "revision round" means a single submission of feedback addressing multiple aspects of the Deliverables.

5.2 Revision Timeframe
Revision requests must be submitted within the timeframe specified for your package (typically 7-30 days from delivery, depending on the package). Revision requests received after this period may be treated as a new Order subject to additional fees.

5.3 Revision Scope
Revisions must fall within the original scope of the Services ordered. Substantial changes to the original information provided, requests for new sections or documents not included in the original Order, or changes to the target role/industry may be considered outside the revision scope and may incur additional charges.

5.4 Revision Process
To request revisions, you must clearly specify the changes required. We aim to complete revision requests within 2-3 business days, though complex revisions may take longer.

5.5 Additional Revisions
Revisions beyond those included in your package may be available for an additional fee, subject to our writer availability.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Prices
All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices for each Service are as displayed on our Website at the time of your Order or as quoted to you directly.

6.2 Payment Methods
We accept payment via credit/debit cards, PayPal, bank transfer, and other methods as specified on our Website. All card payments are processed through secure payment gateways.

6.3 Payment Timing
Full payment is required at the time of placing an Order unless we have explicitly agreed to other arrangements in writing. For certain high-value packages, we may offer installment plans with specific terms.

6.4 Late Payments
For invoiced services with agreed payment terms, late payments may incur interest at the rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate on the outstanding amount, calculated from the due date until payment is made in full.

6.5 Currency Conversion and Fees
If you pay in a currency other than British Pounds, the conversion is handled by our payment processor. We are not responsible for any fees or exchange rate differences applied by your bank or the payment processor.

7. Refund Policy

7.1 Satisfaction Guarantee
We are committed to your satisfaction and offer a revision guarantee as detailed in Section 5. If after all included revision rounds you are still not satisfied with the Deliverables, we will evaluate requests for refunds on a case-by-case basis.

7.2 Refund Eligibility
You may be eligible for a full or partial refund under the following circumstances:

  • If we fail to deliver the Services within the agreed timeframe (provided the delay is not caused by your delay in providing necessary information)
  • If we are unable to complete the Services due to circumstances within our control
  • If the Deliverables substantially fail to meet the specifications outlined in the Service description, and we cannot remedy this through our revision process

7.3 Refund Process
To request a refund, contact our customer support team within 14 days of receiving the final Deliverables. Refund requests should include specific details about why you believe a refund is warranted. We will respond to refund requests within 5 business days.

7.4 Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not typically be provided in the following situations:

  • If you have approved the final Deliverables
  • If you have not used the revision opportunities provided in your package
  • If your dissatisfaction is based on subjective aspects of writing style rather than technical quality
  • If you fail to provide necessary information or feedback within the specified timeframes
  • If your refund request is based on outcomes beyond our control (e.g., not receiving job offers)

7.5 Refund Method
Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. Refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider's policies.

8. Cancellation Policy

8.1 Cancellation by You
You may cancel an Order without penalty within 24 hours of placing it, provided we have not yet begun work on your Order. If we have already started work, a cancellation fee may apply based on the percentage of work completed.

8.2 Consumer Right to Cancel
If you are contracting as a consumer, you have the right to cancel your Order within 14 days of placing it without giving a reason (the "cooling-off period"). However, this right to cancel will expire once we have completed the Services, even if the 14-day period has not expired.

8.3 Expedited Services
By requesting rush or expedited Services, you explicitly consent to us beginning work before the end of the 14-day cooling-off period, and you acknowledge that your right to cancel will be lost once the Services are fully performed.

8.4 Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel an Order at any time if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • You fail to provide necessary information within 14 days of our request
  • We discover that your requirements fall outside our Service scope or expertise
  • We are unable to deliver the Services due to circumstances beyond our control

If we cancel an Order that you have paid for (other than due to your breach), we will refund any advance payment made for Services not yet provided.

Any claim against us must be brought within 12 months of the date you became aware or should reasonably have become aware of the circumstances giving rise to the claim.

12. General Provisions

12.2 Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or arrangements (whether oral or written) between us.

12.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

12.4 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
